"NOW.. It's about Everybody !" : Something I found on Facebook today.. about The DWP, ATOS etc..

Found on Facebook, thought I would re-post it here...

It's about the nationwide sickness absence review and the condems response to it ; the DWP led response aannounces a range of measures a range of measures to support people with health conditions to stay in and return to work (sounding familiar?) A new state funded service will be delivered in 2014 to make 'expert occupational health assessments and service...s more easily... aailable to employers (any ideas....In Rolf's words Do we know what it is yet) The Government will also improve sickness absence management by
considering targeted tax relief on medical treatment or vocational rehabilitation and will make a decision in the 2013 budget (three months kids)
keeping tax relief on employee assistance programmes (ours are run by ATOS called Right Core Care)
Abolishing the percentage threshold scheme which compensates employesr for higher than average sickness absence . It will release funds to be reinvested in a new 'assessment and advisory' service (more groundhog anyone?)
Removing the stautory requirement on employers to maintain sick pay records (FFS!!!!)
Support for GPs to develop their knowledge on health and work to be made available . There will also be advice for employers on how they can support employees with health conditions
Minister for Health reform Lord Fraud said 'long term sickness absence is a burden to business, to the taxpayer and to the many thosands of people who get trapped in the unemployment and benefits dependancy. For the first time all employers, big or small will have access to an occupatinal health service that offers an independent assessment and the early support they need to keep people in work and fulfill their aspirations'
So there you are: Atos and Crapita will be forced upon EVERY business for OHS at the expense of the taxpayer, businesses who support sick staff will be penalised, GP's will be bludegeoned into saying that people are fit for work and if they don't, what they do say will be over ruled by Atos and Crapita and if the employeed doesn't return to work meeting the needs of the business (now being defined by the govt) they will be dismissed and then found fit for work by the same people. In addition it is now going to cost money to submit an employment tribunal too.. It made me sick to read just how far and how insidious this governemt are in lining the Atos and Crapita pockets..
