Letter from my MP: Charlotte Leslie

Two weeks ago I received a letter from my MP, Charlotte Leslie (Conservative) in reply to a email that I had sent her asking the following:
Please can you oppose the Coalition’s Health and Social Care Bill ? The bill has nothing to do with patient care, but is motivated by profit and private interests. Please can you call upon the Health Secretary to publish the risk register, to maintain the pressure on the Government.
Did you know that Labour is determined to defend the NHS and to safeguard the core principles of a national service, provided free on the point of delivery on the basis of need and not ability to pay.
And, If you have not already, I would encourage you to sign the Drop the Bill petition here, http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/22670
Fact: It is the Tories and Lib Dems who are voting for the Bill in the face of such widespread opposition from patients and health professionals, and who are refusing to tell us the truth about the implications of their plans.
Finally, Kerry McCarthy (Labour MP, Bristol East) asks me to ask you Charlotte Leslie, why YOU and her colleagues are hiding the report and threatening the future of our NHS.

Below, you will find photo's of the letter I received back from Charlotte Leslie MP. In the letter, I asked Charlotte Leslie to pick up on several points, including
  • The Welfare Reforms Bill
  • The Health and Social Care Reforms Bill
  • The 12 month ESA time limit
  • Disability's and the Universal Credit system
  • CSA Reforms
  • NHS Bill
  • Publishing of the NHS Risk Register
  • JobCentre Plus Offices and the DWP
Notice, at the end of this letter, Charlotte Leslie comments very little about JobCentre Plus and the Department for Work and Pensions, but says "I will do my best to hold the DWP to account..".

I thought I would share this letter with you, to perhaps, help shed some light on several issues - and to show how the Conservative Party (the Tories), again, don't support people with Disability's (and long-term illness and Disability), or Single Parent Family's.. or even the Health of everyone in the UK.

Yup. It's all about savings and costs. Not people.
