UPDATED: The Contact between ATOS and the DWP for medical conditions and assessment

THIS IS IMPORTANT. THIS IS LAW. THIS IS PART OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) and ATOS Healthcare.

Want to know if you will be called for a medical following recent application. (Remember this will change with the introduction of PIP) Here is a list of illnesses/disabilities and how they judge whether to send you for a medical et during an application for ESA DLA AA benefit applications.

The medical categories and medical conditions taken from the Contract between the DWP and Atos are listed here.

Remember, this has been taken from the contact between the DWP and ATOS, so there for it's LAW.
So if the either the DWP or ATOS has broken the LAW, please let your GP and Consultant know about it, and also go talk to a local lawyer who just might bend their ear towards your direction.. (there's also quite a few GPs and Lawyers on Twitter who are against ATOS anyway.. just a hint!)

  1. Applying for disability benefits have been difficult for most if not all. And I think this is due to the people not being informed enough about how the system works. Given that one's situation is different from the other, it would truly be helpful to seek the help of the right people, especially lawyers who can give light to your situation and can address your needs.

  2. Many thanks for this informative blog. I have found it very helpful. I suffer from hemiplegic cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus and epilepsy and I am now unfit for work. I claim SDA, DLA and Income Support. I have not been asked to attend a medical assessment yet although I have been told that I will be expected to attend one by 2015. I think that this government have gone about this all the wrong way in penalising those of us in genuine need of extra support.

    Sincerely,

    John Haley.
